How the feedback-to-shipping loop works

See how a customer idea moves from submission through prioritization to a published changelog entry.

Featul connects every stage of the product feedback cycle so nothing gets lost between a customer request and a shipped feature.

Step 1: A customer submits an idea

Customers open your public portal or use the in-app widget. They type a request, see similar posts as they write, and can join an existing conversation instead of creating a duplicate.

Step 2: Votes and comments build context

Other customers vote on the idea. Your team can leave internal comments visible only to teammates, and mention colleagues without exposing that discussion on the public board.

Step 3: Your team prioritizes

You move posts through statuses — for example, from pending to planned, in progress, and shipped. The roadmap reflects these statuses so customers always know what is coming.

Step 4: You publish a changelog entry

When a feature ships, you publish an update. Customers who followed the request can see how their input shaped the product.

Why this matters

  • Customers see that submitting feedback has a real effect

  • Your team has one source of truth instead of multiple spreadsheets

  • Roadmap decisions are backed by visible demand, not guesswork
